Photorealistic 3D Model of a Samsung Gas Cooktop

Hi everyone,

This is a portfolio project focused on creating a photorealistic 3D model of a modern kitchen appliance. I chose a 30-inch Samsung gas cooktop as a reference for this hard-surface and texturing study. The main goal was to achieve high fidelity in detail and material realism.

Workflow:

Hard-Surface Modeling: Special attention was paid to creating accurate geometry and reproducing all functional elements: the five burners of various sizes, the complex shape of the cast-iron grates, and the ergonomic control knobs.

Texturing and Materials (PBR): To achieve maximum realism, I used a full PBR workflow. The model features a variety of materials, including brushed stainless steel, matte cast iron, brass on the central burner, and plastic. Samsung's signature blue illumination on the knobs was also recreated to give the model a premium feel.

Rendering and Presentation: The model is showcased with both studio renders to highlight its form and detail, and also integrated into a kitchen interior to demonstrate its application in an architectural visualization context.
